Creating a Highlight Tape

A coach decides in the first 30 seconds whether to keep watching. Build the film for that.

Best plays first. Lead with your three most impressive clips. Don't save the best for last — nobody gets there.
Three to five minutes. Fifteen to twenty-five clips. If a coach wants more, they'll ask for full games.
Make yourself easy to find. A spotlight or arrow on you before each play, and your jersey number on screen.
Let the play breathe. Start a few seconds before the snap, whistle, or serve so the coach sees the situation, not just the result.
No music, no effects, no slow motion. Coaches mute music and want real speed.
Show what your position is judged on. Footwork and vision for a QB; first step and finish for a lineman; range and hands for an outfielder.
Include a full game link. Highlights get you the look; full games get you the offer.
Update every season and keep the link on your player profile here current. Hudl and YouTube both work — the link must open without a login.
Get it reviewed by your coach before it goes out.
